Below are a number of documents that have been done specifically on the Brazeau Reservoir Area. The Brazeau Node Area Structure Plan was passed by Brazeau County Council in March of 2009. In addition, the paving project of the Sunchild Road (Highway 620 from the Brazeau Dam to Highway 11 to the Rocky Mountains) which is 55 kilometres west of Drayton Valley, is now complete. It will enhance the provinical north-south traffic corridors by connecting Highway 11 to Highway 620 and also serves as a link to the O'Chiese and Sunchild First Nations. Another important document is the Investment Opportunity Analysis which is the business case which surrounds the resort development a the Brazeau Reservoir, this document was completed in 2008.
The Brazeau Campground Survey is a statistical survey that was done on campers in the existing campgrounds throughout the summer of 2008
The Brazeau Tourism Study is an older study that was done in 1995, however it has an immense amount of research on the environmental assessment of the area, which likely has not changed significantly.
